People of the sodden gray Pacific Northwest, rejoice! Miami's sun punks Jacuzzi Boys have returned after a three-year absence to beam their sonic goodness upon us. Tonight's show (October 22) gifts Vancouver, B.C. (@ The Cobalt), and October 23 will find them back in Portland at Mississippi Studios, so if you are in the area whatsoever, drink up another double latte and scoot yourself over to one of the shows! The Seattle area got their dose of JBs last Thursday night at Chop Suey, and OF COURSE DUH JEEZ I was there to get you some photos! Two of my most favorite local bands, Boyfriends and Stallion, were the "headline openers," and a better bill there could not be. (Stallion is also playing at the Portland show, so you just have no excuse. GO!)
The persistent rain held off as it neared showtime, Almighty Nature knowing Jacuzzi Boys were in town, and a fabulous time was had by all. I danced myself into a frenzy, and floated onto a cloud of musical joy. Come back sooner, Boys -- we love you!
