I have no particular burning interest to confirm or deny if this is true, but MissEight informed me earlier that today is "National Alien Day." She continued with a somewhat-faithful recitation of the Roswell, New Mexico legend (although insisting that New Mexico is, of course, in Mexico), complete with bubble-topped aluminum spacecraft and "real actual aliens." She asked me if I thought aliens were real, and I said that I did not think so whatsoever. She seemed a bit deflated, spent a few minutes trying to unsuccessfully convince me otherwise, then sat outside with her pastels and made this drawing:
When I stopped laughing and wiped my hilarity tears away, I realized that "Alien Or Grandma?" could be the next "Hot Or Not?" of the internet. It would look something like this:
ALIEN...OR GRANDMA?
Yeah, yeah, I know...my whole family is going to Hell in a spaceship.
