A few odds and ends from our Oregon Coast one-day sweep -- dinner at the super-cool and totally yum Columbian Cafe in historic Astoria. There were so many funny and strange things to look at while we waited for our food and the kids played a lengthy version of "I Spy" accordingly. We all had the clam chowder (with bits of smoked salmon!) and let me tell you, their homemade garlic jelly on big fat pieces of toast was DELICIOUS. Every one of us loved it and we had to buy a jar to take home. Astoria is another town we definitely need to spend some more time in, and another visit to the Columbian Cafe would be mandatory.
