The City of New York recently moved to ban the sale of all supersized sweetened sodas at the movies, restaurants, food carts, and the like. My opinion? Well-intentioned move to try to do something to curb our national obesity problem; will with little argument be overturned in the courts should the soft-drink industry wish to continue in their opposition to the ban. My daughter chose the subject for her weekly Current Events assignment, and did not agree with the Mayor, as you can see. The Coca-Cola Company should hire her to present in court. She'd probably do it for a Sprite.
