There are some musicians that just cannot be mimicked without making yourself look like a bucktoothed, daisy-wearing jackass in the process. I try to get in the head space, for instance, of those middle-aged men who find it their calling in life to get on a stage and ape the voice and mannerisms of Sir Tom Jones, Welsh pop legend. I mean, hey, you can give it a shot, but GOOD LUCK, BUDDY. If it were that easy to deliver on the massive voice and the sultry sexiness, every guy would be walking around booming out "What's New, Pussycat" with his shirt open to his navel, fighting off women with a backhoe. Let us now examine the efforts of a few of these Jones aficionados, as they gift us with their talents.
When you tout yourself on YouTube as "HARMIK, THE WORLD'S #1 TOM JONES IMPERSONATOR," you've got to live up to your ALL CAPS CLAIM. Harmik is so confident that you will agree with his assertion that he provides a clip of the actual Tom Jones performing "My Way" after his own version. In my comparison, I do NOT find Tom Jones to be entirely off-key and looking like he is about to blow out a hernia.

Here we have Danny Roman, "one of Europe's finest Tom Jones tribute acts." Mr. Roman seems to think that sandpapering his throat and throwing on an oily black helmet wig will do the trick. Sexytime!

Keith Coleman claims to be "Florida's Best Tom Jones Impersonator," and I bet he is. Just think how much money you'd lay out to spend an evening watching a guy in an afro wig and fake chest hair do magic tricks while singing like a car engine that refuses to start on a cold morning!
